The Krupp-Protze was a German 6×4 light truck and artillery tractor extensively used by the Wehrmacht during World War II. Produced by Krupp between 1934 and 1941, around 7,000 units were built. It was distinctive for its pointed, sloped engine compartment. Primarily, the Krupp-Protze served as the standard towing vehicle for the 3.7 cm PaK 36 anti-tank gun (Kfz 69 variant) and as an infantry transport (Kfz 70 variant). It was powered by a 3.3-liter, 4-cylinder Krupp M 304 petrol engine, initially producing 55 hp and later 60 hp. Its robust design and off-road capability made it a reliable workhorse throughout various campaigns on both the Western and Eastern Fronts, as well as in North Africa.
