The BA-10 was a Soviet armored car widely used by the Red Army in the early to mid-stages of World War II, developed in 1938 on the GAZ-AAA truck chassis. Armed with a 45 mm 20-K main gun in a fully traversable turret and two 7.62 mm machine guns, it provided considerable anti-tank and anti-infantry firepower. As a wheeled 6×4 vehicle, it was fast on roads and served in reconnaissance, convoy escort, and infantry support roles. While its light armor (up to 10 mm) offered protection against small arms, it was vulnerable to anti-tank weapons. The BA-10 saw extensive service from the Winter War through the initial phases of Operation Barbarossa, proving a valuable asset due to its speed and armament, despite becoming increasingly outclassed as the war progressed.
